ISO/IEC 17025 for peptide testing laboratories
ISO/IEC 17025 is a competence standard for testing and calibration laboratories. The useful evidence is the accreditor-issued scope, not a logo copied onto a report.
Accreditation is scoped
A laboratory may be accredited for one matrix or method and not another. Peptely checks whether the exact activity appears in the published scope.
Names and addresses must match
Networks can operate many sites. A parent-company name is not enough: the issuing legal entity and facility must match the accreditation record.
A logo is not the scope
Confirm the certificate number and current scope on the accreditor’s own website. The scope should name the facility and relevant test activity; a copied logo or broad marketing claim is insufficient.
Peptide questions
Is an unlisted lab necessarily fraudulent?
No. It means Peptely could not independently confirm the accreditation claim; it is a gap, not a finding of misconduct.
Does ISO/IEC 17025 mean every peptide test is accredited?
No. Accreditation applies only to the activities and sites listed in the current scope.
